I am new to forex and i have heard this term before. I also need a recommendation for a good basic FX guide..Thanks

I am a high school senior who is highly interested in becoming a FX trader. I have been accepted into the University of Illinois Engineering department and the University of Michigan Engineering department. I am aware that traders need good quantitative skills, so I was wondering what major would be best. Should I study finance, economics, mathematics, computer science or engineering? Should I minor in any of these subjects? I am currently inclined to double major in Finance and Mathematics of Finance and Risk Management at U of M. Furthermore, I hope to study abroad at Oxford for a year and study mathematics and statistics. I have also been trading my own FX account with great success and will (hopefully) continue to do so through college. Is this good preperation for landing a job as a trader? Is there anything I should do differently or additionally?

Currently at the time of writing I am 18 years of age and I have been practicing stock, commodity and currency trading in several different practice accounts. What I have discovered is that I am best at currency trading and I make the most money out of trading that way. With stocks and commodities I have had moderate successes but I’m better at FX trading than anything else and I’ve learned a lot too.
I also know that currency tends to trend long term such as a few months to a few years which is where currency options are best suited. Spot-forex trading on the other hand is traded on margin and is best suited to short term trading of the FX markets.
I have only had practice trading FX in spot-forex and spread betting, both of which had a return of several hundred percent. What I would like to know is what is the best way to trade forex out of currency options, spread betting or spot FX, and which is best suited to a UK resident to gain wealth? Please help/advise. Thanks.

I’m not sure I understand the question, but there are hundreds if not thousands of trading desks around the world. Each and every bank, investment bank, fund and other smiliar financial institution has a trading desk, some have mulitple across regions and asset classes.

Can I ask you, do Hindus and Buddhists participate in the stock market? I sure hope so, as my portfolio is filled with ADR’s from India that are listed in America like ICICI bank. FX is similar to speculating on the stock market. The key word is speculate–not as extreme as gamble, but there certainly is an element of chance involved, as well as the chance of gaining a large amount. And trading is a zero sum game: for you to win, somebody has to lose, be it your broker or another trader.
I’m not Hindu, I was raised Christian by very anti-gambling parents. Yet I speculate on the FX market. I don’t do evil with the money I make, and my conscience lets me sleep at night. I would think, given the number of Indian-Americans that I have met with interest in FX that it is OK, but I cannot speak since I have no idea.
Islam is unique in that you can’t earn money through interest on a loan, which makes bonds very tricky. However, India, a very diverse but religious country, has become a Global economic powerhouse. To me, FX trading is a business, just like owning a software company or a farm. Should I gain money on a trade, it is simply revenue for me. Should I lose, a business expense. If I lose all of my money, then I close up shop. If I share some of my proceeds through charity, but keep the rest to provide for my family, I don’t see the harm.

Hello. I have a little experience trading Forex but last year I didn’t have so much time for trading at Forex Market. However I want to trade again.
For those who know and have traded in this big financial market, do you have some clever advices to make buy/sell currencies at Fx ? I have an easy-forex account, where you can start trading with 12.5 €, 25 € 50 €…. It is a good forex market site ?

Hinduism as a religion, have no prescribed social laws. The social laws observed in hindu soceity developed gradually as per the practice followed by people. The religion, strictly speaking, has nothing to do with social norms and behaviour.

margin means trade using brokers money, so you only pay small amount to controll large position.
